Gypsy Soul Mares
Wild Rose Midnight’s Swan
“Ducky” was a late bloomer (we called her the “ugly duckling” when we brought her home) but she is now the hairiest, and arguably the prettiest mare in our herd. Her feather starts well above her knees, she has a full beard and mustache (this is desired in a Gypsy Horse, trust me) and a full, thick, crazy hairy double mane.
Ducky has matured at 14.2. She is my oldest daughter’s heart-horse and has had 2 seasons of 4H under her belt, and is not getting under saddle for a year of pony club.
Her lineage includes:
- The Lion King
- Cloneen Glencarraig
- FCF Prada
- Desert Jewel Hermit’s Apollo
Last West Cha Cha
One of our newest mares, Last West Cha Cha, is a hidden gem. She is my youngest daughter’s heart horse. She is started under saddle and is doing wonderfully. My daughter couldn’t be happier.
Cha Cha loves attention, especially from children. She is wise and gentle. She has been a babysitter for our weanlings and they couldn’t have had a better teacher.
Cha Cha is a buckskin tobiano that with 2 blue eyes that looks like she was born under western saddle.
Sire: Prince Von Eschrich (Sire: Love Biscuit; Dam Sr Playful Spirit Tinkerbell, a Lion King grand daughter)
Dam: R Pearl Alley
Cha Cha is in foal to North Fork Cayenne for a 2019 foal.
Gypsy Soul’s Stellar Grace
Buckskin Tobiano Filly
“Stella” was born the strongest foal we’ve ever seen. Her dam is Wild Rose Indian Sky and her sire is Desert Jewel Diego. She’s built like a tank and we expect she’ll be tall, like her momma, most likely maturing at about 15 hands. She has beautiful long eyelashes and a lot of hair. Her colour genetics have come back as a buckskin!! I can’t stress enough just how huge and strong this girl is! Stella is curious and very friendly. She has a small stubborn streak but she is willing and trusting. She is sure and is sweet. Stella will be retained by Gypsy Soul at this time.
